Greetings and good day to you all, due to restrictions and pre-empt move by MMU Confessions that will prevent any confessions, including confession posts on NIVAQ (an accounting quiz competition at national level) in order to avoid ‘trigger a conflict’ (how undemocratic the admins are as according to my friend), so I help him to post the confession in the form of parody of an original song called Rivers of Babylon by showing parodied lyrics.
The parody song is renamed as Rivers of Melaka to commemorate the scandal that plagued NIVAQ as protest and reminder to all (including participating universities such as UTAR)

Without further ado, here is the parodied lyrics to sing along:

By the rivers of Melaka
There we sat down
Yeah, we wept
When we remembered NIVAQ

By the rivers of Melaka
There we sat down
Yeah, we wept
When we remembered NIVAQ

When the wicked
Choose the sub and high-comm
By corruption and nepotism
Now how shall we sing the Lord’s song
In an evil scenario?

When the wicked
Choose the sub and high-comm
By corruption and nepotism
Now how shall we sing the Lord’s song
In an evil scenario?

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Let the words of our mouth and the meditations of our heart
Be acceptable in thy sight here tonight
Let the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts
Be acceptable in thy sight here tonight

By the rivers of Melaka
There we sat down
Yeah, we wept
When we remembered NIVAQ

By the rivers of Melaka
There we sat down
Yeah, we wept
When we remembered NIVAQ

By the rivers of Melaka
(Dark tears of Melaka)
There we sat down
(You got to sing a song)
Yeah we wept
(Sing a song of love)
When we remembered NIVAQ
(Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)

By the rivers of Melaka
(Rough bits of Melaka)
There we sat down
(You hear the unfairly rejected applicants cry)
Yeah we wept
(They need their god)
When we remembered NIVAQ
(Ooh, have the power)

By the rivers of Melaka
(Oh yeah yeah)
There we set down
(Oh yeah yeah)
Yeah we wept
(Dark tears of Melaka)
When we remembered NIVAQ
(Ooh, yeah yeah yeah)
By the rivers of Melaka
